Our History

2004 - 2006

Produce Sound relocated to the Refinery Johannesburg (the then-biggest post-production facility in Johannesburg and South Africa). 905 of the high-end TV and Radio work was completed here. Produce Sound had the opportunity to rent a small 2-room studio suite, and that’s when the magic started.

2006 - 2012

During this period, Produce Sound expanded to offer 5.1 services and grew in popularity with big and small advertising agencies. A small ‘offline’ room was added, doubling up as a drum room for recording artists. At this stage, Louis started winning a few awards and became recognised as one of the leading Sound Designers and composers in the local South African advertising and music industry.

2012 - 2015

Produce had to grow, and relocated to its own 4 suite independent space. After a brief partnership with another Audio and Music Company , Produce went fully independent with Louis steering the ship and leading a team of 4 Sound Designers.

2015 - 2021

The “Golden Years” By this stage Louis and the team at Produce won every local South Africa Award. Has been ranked the best TV, Radio and audio company in Africa and the middle east. Won numerous international awards, One Show’s, Canne Lions, D&AD’s and was named the 2016 LIA radio and Audio company of the year. Louis was also nominated for Best Produce at the SAMAS for producing and mixing Mark Counihan’s “To The Brave Ones” album. We continuously updated our gear and refreshed our rooms to remain the top Audio Post Production facility in South Africa.

2021 - Present

The next chapter. We will never finish, simply evolve. Louis and Produce relocated to Australia and settles in the most amazing part of the world. The Gold Coast. We scaled down and now offer clients the absolute best quality audio service, with quick turnaround times and competitive prices due to our low overheads.
